MEET OUR THERAPISTS

Sydney Brown, MEd

Therapist

Taking the step to begin therapy can feel overwhelming. Opening up to someone new isn't easy,

and it takes courage to ask for support. My goal is to create a space where you can show up

exactly as you are without judgment, pressure, or the expectation that you have everything

figured out.

My approach is collaborative, empathetic, and individualized because I believe every person's story and needs are unique. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I integrate different therapeutic modalities and interventions to create a treatment experience that feels tailored to you. My hope is that our work together allows you to feel seen, supported, and safe enough to explore who you are while moving toward the life you want to create.

Specialties

I enjoy partnering with Teens and adults navigating a variety of mental health concerns, providing compassionate, individualized care that supports meaningful and lasting change. I incorporate evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed principles, while integrating techniques from a variety of therapeutic approaches to create an individualized therapeutic experience that best supports each client's unique goals and needs.

Professional Experience

I am a pre-licensed therapist with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Arizona, with minors in both Sociology and Communications.

My clinical experience is in private practice, where I have worked with clients across the lifespan navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, identity concerns, relationship challenges, trauma, and life transitions. In addition to providing therapy, I have supported the day-to-day operations of a private practice, giving me a well-rounded understanding of client care from initial contact through the therapeutic process.

My Philosophy

I believe therapy is a collaborative process built on trust, safety, and genuine connection. While I bring my clinical knowledge and experience into the therapy room, I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to meet you where you are, helping you better understand your experiences, navigate life's challenges, and create meaningful change. I believe healing happens through a relationship that feels real, supportive, and authentically human.
